   This is more of a video to cast LIKE a beginner instead of learning to cast. Orvis certified is the biggest joke in fishing., but so is the quality of “information” from ehow . Ehow is spam that clutters up the internet making it harder to find the quality sites.

   Do the world a favor and never ever click on any link on an ehow or villiageIdiot …. errrr I mean expertvillage web page.

   i agree with locked wrist (like tennis), and not letting wrist go behind vertical too much, as he said regarding snagging
   behind you
   - but keeping your arm tight to your chest ( rules out shoulder power) will limit casting distance and be a bit uncomfortable after a while-
   but no-one has identical casting actions, all have their own style which works for them
   I think comments are a bit harsh, as I think there are a couple of good tips there for beginners before they get into bad habits

   the initial instruction is poor forget this film get someone that can cast and get on a lawn before attempting the water just tie a small piece of wool to the leader he has left a lot of info out

    my cousin tried to be funny and tried this with a regular fishing ole and hook and he whipped it back ad forth really hard and hooked his butthole. its not easy to type that without laughing.
