Great value.You get a good ,light, action rod .A perfectly functioning (plastic) reel,2 wet flies,fly-line and a leader. Ideal for learner/beginner or in my case an old veteran fisherman. You can easily replace the reel with a better model should you wish later. The rod has a nice even action and I was surprised at how good it reacted. Make sure to buy your own Flies before using it(As all flies are local and seasonal). I would recommend this .

This was just the product at a good price to get me interested in fly fishing. You will outgrow it in a couple of weeks though. Can’t beat the price, but you do indeed get what you pay for. The reel is plastic, and I broke it when I…um…fell into the river. It does not come with backing, which is fine for beginners.

Nice fly rod and reel package. Had it set up in minutes! Good sturdy construction. Just no fish yet.

The rod and reel seem acceptable. I’m planning to replace the reel with something made of metal.
The flies, on the other hand, were put together with a non-waterproof glue. After three casts I was fishing with a naked hook.

The rod and reel set arrived on time and in good shape. If I was able to determine the length of each rod section before ordering (I guessed) I would have known ahead of time that the rod sections were to long to fit the rod holder I have.
