Can I use paint thinner on polymer clay?
I have a cosplay prop made out of balsa wood and baked polymer clay. Its painted with Krylon gold plate spray paint. I want to fix it and I need to remove the paint. Will using paint thinner damage the clay parts?
That depends a bit on which kind of polymer clay it is. If it has come out very light and "plasticy" then the paint thinner would probably erode it some. If the clay didn't smell like paint thinner before ti was baked then it's not probably not acetone soluble.
